Publication Ethics

Among the most important principles and ethics of scientific research and publication are:

  • Credibility and accuracy in recording, analyzing, and publishing data and results in scientific research.
  • Avoiding manipulation or bias in the design, analysis, and presentation of data in scientific research.
  • Accepting constructive criticism from peer reviewers and acting upon it before publishing the research.
  • Researchers must respect intellectual property rights of relevant parties, including research, patents, and publishing rights, and avoid plagiarism and theft. Additionally, unpublished data or results should not be used without the consent of their owners.
  • The goal of publishing scientific research should be to develop economic institutions and benefit humanity as a whole, not solely for personal gain.
  • Acknowledging and thanking those who contributed to the preparation of research, theses, and dissertations.
  • Supporting undergraduate and graduate students during their research journey, enhancing their capabilities, and enabling them to make their own decisions.
  • Adhering to the guidelines and rules set by journals and regulatory bodies for scientific research.
  • Using available resources responsibly to achieve the desired goals and objectives.
  • Respecting human rights and dignity when conducting scientific research involving human subjects.
  • Researchers must avoid supporting any private entities with agendas that exploit research for illegitimate interests.
